The Secret is Out

I have been meaning to write about The Secret since my wife and I watched and discussed the film but the timing has not been right.  Now I am inspired because I am starting to be asked if I "believe" in the secret.  The theory has come up for discussion particularly often during the personal mission and vision section of my program or speeches.  It comes up because we are working on seeing the personal vision.  Big, almost out of reach, but the difference between getting close and not even trying is believing.

My answer is that I do believe.  I see proof everyday of attracting abundance working for people.  I don't think you can be balanced and successful if you don't truly believe you are - self sabotaging behavior is real too.

I believe that those at there best are because of confidence -- true feeling of success and behavior that shows it.  Examples I know are true:

The athlete that sees the result before it happens.  A pitcher who sees the spot and throws the ball there - not aiming.  The batter who sees the ball so well that it slows down and the crowd/catcher does not exist and, slap, right field single.  Those who do it consistently, make it.

Musicians that hear the music in their head and perform uninterrupted and in perfect harmony.

The sales person pounding the phone with laser focus listening and responding perfectly time and time again.  Almost in a trance closing win:win deals left and right.

The writer who paints a picture and you wonder, how do they do that?

The product designer who sees the details nobody else sees.

The leader changing the world!

Have you noticed the other common traits of these people?  They tend to surround themselves with other positive and successful people.  That person that everything always seems to go their way.  looking closer, you realize, hey, they are human making mistakes and realizing problems or roadblocks.  The difference is they twist negativity into a positive learning experience and move on.  It becomes part of their brand, someone you want to be around.  Is this you?
