Someone asked on my Business and Career Forum for advice on personal brand quick fixes. As I posted there, your brand already exist and re-branding, or quickly getting a brand promise out during time of need is not effective - like networking only as a project during your own time of need.
I do offer this, however, I had to refer to this person as someone, because they did not take advantage to the tool in front of them. Creating a signature and profile, come back and post (especially when there is response to your question). A quick fix online is as simple as subscribing where you post so you can maintain a dialog and add value. If your goal is to create a brand online, keep a consistent username out there with your own name! Random characters or nick names that only make sense to your high school buddies will take you absolutely nowhere.
Finally, take it offline too. Don't get caught up in only connecting online. Get out there and add value on and offline. You can see why there is no real quick fix - just opportunities to be consistent.
