How many careers are you currently marketing and managing? I see more and more people taking control of their life and taking multiple streams of income to heart. I have many examples, here are a few: there is the college student career/entrepreneur/author like Ben Casnocha (his public speaking is taking off so look for /speaker to come). Mark Ewing who is a recruiter/photographer/ski instructor. Making money and excellent at each. I can't count how many people have a website that is generating more than just content...revenues! These are examples of young professionals in their 20's, but I am seeing just as many baby boomers doing the same thing. Employee/consultant/speaker/writer/advisor all at the same time, all generating revenue and opportunity. As a GenXer myself, I am not seeing as many examples in my generation as I am with boomers and Gen Y, yet. Exception to the entrepreneur crowd like me. I know why more slash careers exist in Boomers and Gen Y, but that is another post.
Not long ago I posted on Personal Board of Advisors from Your Brand, LLC a poll question asking how many times do you plan to change jobs in your career? Every few years is the answer taking a lead right now. I just posted a similar yet very different question - How Many Careers Do You Currently Manage?
I am curious about how many careers you brand and manage - take the poll and tell your story.
